The Director Enterprise Business Systems will take the lead in management of our enterprise-wide applications and systems. You will play a pivotal role in driving operational efficiency, enhancing user experience, and enabling scalable growth across all facets of our organization. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic vision, and leadership skills to align technology initiatives with business objectives and drive impactful outcomes. In addition, you will oversee compliance, and day-to-day operational support of enterprise applications, whether used internally or externally. They will work closely with departments such as accounting, sales, marketing, finance, and engineering, pinpointing areas for enhancement and proactively integrating technology-driven services and procedures to bolster strategic aims and operational effectiveness. This role is also pivotal within our IT organization for leading a team who build, test, deploy and maintain innovative integration solutions across various enterprise platforms.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of enterprise application technical development & integration technologies, and will be able to drive the strategic direction and execution of projects that enhance our operational efficiencies. You will build strong relationships with senior leaders across various functions and champion the centralization of integrations from disparate shadow IT teams. Primary responsibilities will include:
- Strategic Planning and Execution
- Supporting, developing and executing a comprehensive strategy for enterprise applications that aligns with the company's overall goals and objectives
- Helping identify opportunities for streamlining and optimizing integration processes, fostering collaboration between cross functional teams
- Work cross-functionally to partner on and/or oversee the development, customization, and integration of enterprise applications, including ERP, CRM, HRIS, and other business-critical systems
- Collaborating to ensure seamless interoperability and data flow across platforms to optimize business processes and enable data-driven decision-making
- Overseeing the development teams across Salesforce, Dynamics 365, ServiceNow etc and Avaya IVR Development teams
- Team Leadership and Mentorship
- Building, leading, and inspiring a high performing team of application support engineers (Salesforce, Dynamics 365 ERP, Sharepoint, ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, Data Warehousing and BI applications etc), developers who do customization and integrations, and sr. data engineers/analysts
- Fostering a culture of continuous learning, knowledge sharing, and professional growth. Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and career development opportunities
- Technology Evaluation and Implementation
- Continuously helping, evaluating and recommending emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies
- Overseeing the implementation and adoption of new technologies, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and minimizing disruptions.
- Budget Management and Resource Allocation
- Supporting, developing and managing a large vendor budget, ensuring efficient cost optimization while aligning with strategic objectives
- Responsible for building and maintaining a strong sense of community within the IT team
- Exploring potential opportunities to serve as a site leader for the CIO team, fostering growth and collaboration
The Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 15+ years of overall experience in delivering end-to-end solutions.
- 5+ years’ experience leading teams and managing large scale Salesforce / D365 ERP / Data Wearhouse solutions (1000 + users).
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Data warehouse technologies
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce, Dynamics 365 products, business models, licenses, and trends
- Strong knowledge of large IT budget ( labor and vendor) management
- Demonstrated experience with the design of improved experience processes, implementing improved processes, and measuring outcomes
- Superb customer service presence and role model with a solid ability to understand functions across various business groups and utilize judgment to take actions proactively
- Ability to take initiative, problem-solve with limited direction, and navigate ambiguity to resolve issues
- Proven experience in driving operational efficiency for production support.
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability in change management
- Experience presenting to and engaging with a variety of audiences, from engineers through senior leaders and C-suite executives.
- Possesses comprehensive expertise in integration technologies, architectures, and methodologies such as ESB, API gateways, and data integration platforms like Azure LogcApps and Service Bus, with a focus on data ingestion
- Experience in SaaS technical development using tools such as Salesforce CRM, Dynamics 365 Finance and UKG with a strong focus on Microsoft technologies
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices
- Familiarity with Telecom and IVR platforms and developments
- Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices
- Extensive knowledge of various integration patterns, including real time, event based, bidirectional etc
- Strong understanding of API management and the software development lifecycle.
- Expertise in architectural principles such as SOA and Microservices
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem solving skills
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business terms and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience in vendor and partner management, contract negotiation, and SLA management
- Proficiency in project management, resource planning, and budget allocation
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overlapping hours with US
- Fluency in written and spoken English
